Samuel L. Jackson: Elizabeth Olsen IS Scarlet Witch

For those of you who may have been lucky enough to catch this week episode of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, you may have noticed a familiar face show up at the end...the one and only Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson.

Sammy L. just recently chatted with the Wall Street Journal about his cameo, and when asked about when production is set to begin on Avengers: Age of Ultron, pretty much confirmed the rumours we've been hearing surrounding the casting of the Scarlet Witch:
“I don’t think we begin shooting before March of next year. I know we’re shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. [Elizabeth] Olsen [who will play the Scarlet Witch], but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script.”

Next to an official Marvel confirmation, Olsen seems to have a lock on the role of  Wanda Maximoff AKA Scarlet Witch. It has previously been confirmed that Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be playing Pietro Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver.

Marvel has also hinted that we may see more cameos in AoS, which should continue to bring back fan boys and girls every week. I know I'll be back!!

You can watch Agents of SHIELD Tuesdays at 8pm EST on ABC/CTV. Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theatres on May 1st, 2015.

Could We Be Seeing More of Agent Peggy Carter?

Agent Peggy Carter (played by Hayley Atwell) first entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger, and quickly won over fans with her no nonsense, ass kicking attitude (remember when she shot at Steve after she caught him with a lady? Exactly).

While her character was pretty much eliminated from any kind of future in future Marvel movies, she did appear in her very own one-shot (check it out below).

But could she be making an appearance on TV?

The folks at Empire have reason to believe that Marvel Studios is in fact looking at the logistics of bringing Agent Carter back in her very own show. They report that the premise of the show may pick up where the one shot left off, and would include much more of the same ass kicking.

I'm 1000% in favour of this. We'll keep our ears open for any information!

Meanwhile, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will premiere this Tuesday at 8pm EST on ABC/CTV!

Hiddleston and Hemsworth Give Interview on Disney Channel, Tease Awesomess

We're less than 50 days away from the North American release of Thor: The Dark World, and Marvel/ Disney is beginning to ramp up its promotion.

Now that Disney owns Marvel Studios, we're getting more expose of the films through their multiple outlets (we've seen Marvel projects are D23 for the past two years). This amazing clip featuring Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth recently began airing on the Disney Channel. While no secrets are given away (obviously), it's still great!

Hiddleston and Hemsworth are absolutely so much fun to watch, no matter what the situation. I think we all have a lot to look forward to when Thor: The Dark World hits theatres on November 8th!

Have We Seen The End of Pepper Potts in Marvel Movies?

The character of Pepper Potts (played by Gwyneth Paltrow) had a rather slow beginning in 2008's Iron Man - she was a strong personality and a decision maker in the movie, she was still in the 'damsel in distress role'. The character concept didn't change much in the second installment, 2010's Iron Man 2.

While she made a brief and rather comical appearance in 2012's The Avengers, it wasn't until 2013's Iron Man 3 that Potts put on her ass kicking shoes. WARNING: Iron Man 3 SPOILERS AHEAD.

In the middle of Iron Man 3, the Mandarin attacks Tony Stark's house with Stark and Potts still inside - Pepper ends up wearing the new automated armor Tony had been working on (for those of you familiar with the comic books, you'll know that Potts had her own armor and was known as Rescue). Near the end of the movie, she was infected with the Extremis virus and had seemingly perished in a fall at the shipping yard. Because of the Extremis, she survived and laid down an ass kicking, saving Tony and saving the day.

But could that be the end of Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Gwyneth Paltrow recently spoke with HITFIX and said she hasn't got a phone call from Marvel yet.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd love to see more of tough chick Potts in the MCU. And maybe now that Paltrow knows the name of the next Avengers movie she'll be getting a call.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theatres on May 1st, 2015.

Agent Phil Coulson is Back and More Bad Ass Than Ever!

The moment he first appeared in 2008's 'Iron Man', Agent Phil Coulson (played by Clark Gregg) won the hearts of fans around the world. And when fans rushed to theatres to see 'The Avengers' last year, those same hearts were crushed when the movies big baddie Loki killed him on the helicarrier.

Or so we thought.

When the folks at Marvel announced that they'd be creating a new show called 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' and that our beloved Phil Coulson was the star, so many heads were scratched. Because what? How? Why? Literally, so many questions.

The premiere of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' is only two weeks away, and we have been given a look at what we can expect from the series, as told by Clark Gregg himself! Check it out!

The show looks awesome. 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' will premiere at 8pm EST on ABC/CTV on September 24th.

Could Ewan McGregor be Ant-Man?

Even before the movie was officially announced, fans of the Ant-Man comics were casting their favourite actors in the role. There has been many names dropped for the part, but the most common being Nathan Fillion.

Last month Brit actor Simon Pegg caused a near internet implosion when he was pictured at Marvel HQ nonchalantly pointing at a photo of Ant-Man. Pegg was quick to squash the rumours, saying that the photo was merely an acknowledgement of the films director Edgar Wright (who is Pegg's best friend).

Today there are multiple reports that Scotch actor Ewan McGregor might be the favourite of Marvel to play Hank Pym/ Ant-Man. McGregor has previously played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the 'Star Wars' prequel trilogy - some of his other film credits include 'Trainspotting' and 'Black Hawk Down'.

We have our ears open for any casting news that is confirmed. Production on 'Ant-Man' should begin sometime next year, and it will hit theatres on July 31st, 2015!

Will There Be Giant, Evil Robots in Avengers: Age of Ultron?

So as we all know at the end of Iron Man 3, Tony Stark has his Arc Reactor removed, turning him back into a normal Joe (which surprised me, because let's face it, that's what makes him Iron Man. And personally, I though it was a bit cheap that all of a sudden the suits can be flown without Tony inside them and TADA no more dependence on the reactor. Ok, I'll stop ranting now). And it was just a few months ago that Marvel confirmed they've locked up Robert Downey Jr for another two films. You're probably asking the same thing as me...BUT HOW WILL THIS WORK? Don't freak out, we have answers.

Speaking recently with ComicBookMovie.com, 'Iron Man 3' screenwriter Drew Pearce explains how 'Avengers' director Joss Whedon will integrate the new Tony Stark into 'Age of Ultron':
"We take his arc reactor out, but I think we also make a pretty definite statement that he is Iron Man. And although Joss isn’t part of the process as such, he saw all the cuts of the movie, so I’ve got to assume he knows exactly what he wants to do with Tony in [The Avengers: Age of Ultron] and how we’ve left [Tony Stark] is going to help that, not hinder it."
Pearce shifted the idea of Iron Man actually being a human to unmanned suits also spoke about how the idea of robots will play into the future of the MCU:
"Obviously, Age of Ultron suggests that in Avengers 2 there will definitely be some level of, if not giant evil robots, then definitely a robotic or artificial intelligence entity. I may or may not have been excited about it for a year. Not every aspect of Phase Two is planned already, but Joss has been thinking about it for a year and Kevin has been thinking about what Avengers 2 does since the first film. The scale I think they’re going to reach for is going to be truly epic, which is incredible when you consider how epic Avengers was. But on a character level the story will actually be smaller, or at least more intimate. It’s hard to put a list together of all the things Joss [Whedon] is good at as a writer, but definitely in the top five would be dealing with the shifting dynamics of a large group of characters."

And Pearce says the idea that Stark creates Ultron is something that we should NOT be overly excited about.
There is a hell of a lot of rumors, though. Ultron may be something that appears in Guardians of the Galaxy, or it might appear in the Thor universe. I’ve read a lot of stuff online, and I don’t think anyone has got close to the real plan yet.
Smoke and mirrors? Maybe.

All that I can say is these are the most definite set of details we've seen about 'Age of Ultron' thus far. And with Whedon at the helm we've learned that we can expect almost anything...that can be a scary, exciting and uncomfortable feeling. Seriously.

'Avengers: Age of Ultron' is set to go into production next March year in England - the cast from 'The Avengers' have confirmed they will be returning, and newcomer Aaron Taylor-Johnson confirmed he'll be playing Quicksilver, while the role of Scarlet Witch yet to be confirmed (rumours say Elizabeth Olsen is in negotiations for the part).

The only movie detail that can be confirmed is that 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' will hit theatres on May 1st, 2015. See what I did there? :)

Chris Hemsworth Has No Idea Who Ultron Is

By: Stephanie Meleady

Chris Hemsworth is an established actor who is well versed in many things - but the character of Ultron isn't one of them.

The Australian actor, who has played Thor, God of Thunder in 2011's 'Thor: The Mighty Avenger', 2012's 'The Avengers' and the upcoming 'Thor: The Dark World', recently spoke with MTV News at the Toronto International Film Festival and admitted he really has no idea who he'll be fighting in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron':
"I haven't had to look into it and understand it yet, with all honesty, I have no idea. The whole Avengers thing is now starting to come up in conversations and I'm like, 'God, I've still got another film to shoot and 'Thor 2' hasn't even come out yet. This ['Ultron'] script's not even written yet. I know [screenwriter] Joss [Whedon] is [writing it now]."
There should be time to become versed in the story of Ultron - production on the second installment of the Avengers doesn't begin until early next year. When asked about the James Spader, who will be playing Ultron, Hemsworth said:
"He's great, he's awesome!"
Hemsworth has two movies scheduled to come out before the year is over; 'Rush', in which he plays British Formula One racing champion James Hunt will be out on September 20th, and 'Thor: The Dark World' will open in North America on November 8th. Check out the trailers for 'Rush' and 'Thor: The Dark World' below!
