Pokémon card valued at $100,000

By: James Bowler

Have you got an extra one hundred grand kicking around collecting dust?

Well if so you could be the lucky owner of a new Pokemon 'Pikachu Illustrator' card from the original Japanese card game.

Geek.com reported the sale of the card on eBay from the Pokémon TCG Blog, which is sitting at a valued 'Buy It Now' price of $100,000 but those who want to try their luck can try a lower offer.

Although the seller is looking for at least $50,000.

So why is this card even more expensive than the Black Lotus from the MTG craze?

Well considering first of all there are only six in existence since its printing in 1998 coupled with the fact that basically no one else is selling theirs anytime soon, you can understand why this buyer is asking so much.

Maybe he's just looking to you know do something useful like put money down on a mortgage?

Who am I kidding, he's going to bid on something else worth even more I'm sure!

Check out the listing here.
