King of Tokyo Gets Spooky

By: Britt Turkington

Iello Games has announced a new expansion for 'King of Tokyo' and it has a theme that many are exited about.

'King of Toyko - Halloween' is the newest addition to the 'King of Toyko' family. The original, of course, designed by 'Magic: The Gathering' designer Richard Garfield, has been very successful since its launch in 2011.

So what's in the box? The new expansion is said to include two new monsters: 'Pumpkin Jack' and 'Boogie Woogie'. Each of these will come with their own sets of evolution cards which were introduced in the 'Power Up' expansion. These will allow the new monsters to mutate into an even spookier version of itself. Of course it will also include new Power cards that will be shuffled in with the original cards and new dice to fit the Halloween theme.

But wait, is there more? On August 30th this was posted to Iello's Facebook page...

... So what does it mean? It's said it will also include a special promotional for the next 'King of Tokyo' stand alone game which will be released in 2014. I don't know about everyone else, but as a lover of this game, that will definitely be something I will need to pick up.

So with all of this talk about pumpkins and monsters, I'm sure you're wondering when you can get your hands on the expansion. Well there is no surprise there. It is set to debut in October.
