Whedon tweets Affleck will 'crush' Batman role

Marvel fan-favourite Joss Whedon has reached out to DC fans with a positive attitude towards the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman.

A tweet by Whedon to fans said that he believes Affleck will “crush it” as Batman in the next Man of Steel installment:

Affleck'll crush it. He's got the chops, he's got the chin -- just needs the material. Affleck & Cavill toe to toe -- I'm in.

Now whether this means Whedon will be pre-purchasing his ticket to the Man of Steel 2 Batman/Superman team-up amazeballs excitement, or he’s just hysterically laughing at Warner Brothers execs while he rolls around on a pile of money, we’ll never really know.

And we won’t know how Affleck looks or feels as the new Batman until we see some first teaser footage, so I would suggest to all of geekdom to just cool your jets until we see that footage.

In my personal opinion Affleck has definitely grown as an actor, and gone through what I like to call ‘actor puberty’ so there is a strong possibility that the sins of the past (Daredevil) will not be repeated.
