...And does this mean that Ryan Reynolds is back in the DC Films fold despite the failure of the Green Lantern movie?
The bigger question is does this mean that Bryan Cranston is back in the saddle to play Lex Luthor?
MovieWeb has recently reported on rumors that Strong has accepted to reprise the role of the Green Lantern villain Sinestro to fit back into the Justice League film supposedly coming out after Man of Steel 2.
It was announced earlier in the summer that Strong was actually hinting at playing Lex Luthor in the upcoming Man of Steel films, but it could be he was instead hinting at Sinestro.
The same rumor has reported that Bryan Cranston has now been locked into a six movie deal to play Lex Luthor (which makes all my geek parts tingle).
If this rumor is to be believed then that could lead to Ryan Reynolds being pulled back in (with a ring on it), to reprise his Green Lantern role once again (and hopefully not as ridiculously as last time).
MovieWeb reports that according to the rumor, the announcement of Cranston's casting will be made after the final episode of Breaking Bad.
I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that this is all true, mostly because I believe Reynolds can do a better job of Green Lantern (I mean he wasn't as bad as Ben Affleck in Daredevil right?).
Man of Steel 2 hits theaters July 17, 2015, with the confirmed team up of Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman.
