By now most of us know that the next Man of Steel movie is going to include one of comics most loved super hero's. If you haven't heard than you might be living under a rock.
During this years San Diego Comic Con, a quote was read during the Man Of Steel panel which read as the following: "I want you to remember, Clark... in all the years to come... in your most private moments... I want you to remember my hand... at your throat... I want you to remember...The one man who beat you."
Yes you heard it; A quote right out of the Dark Knight Returns, followed by the Batman and Superman logo on the screen. It was a nerd's dream come true.
While we know this sequel will more than likely lead into the Justice League, how is DC going to introduce the new caped crusader?
Many fans are still eagerly awaiting to see who is going to be cast as the next Bruce Wayne/Batman, but not only that. They are wondering what kind of role he will play in the new film which is set for release in 2015. We know this is going to be a completely new Batman, with no origin story before being added into the movie, so the question remains, what does DC do?
There are many good theories on how the next film should be written. My theory is with Metropolis basically left a wasteland after Superman's fight with Zod, Bruce Wayne is called in to help rebuild. Bruce is a millionaire and likes charity, so this makes a perfect opportunity and gives reason for Bruce to be there. If Bruce is there to help rebuild, that leaves one great option as to who the villain might be, and that's Lex Luthor. Luthor wants everyone to believe he's the good guy, and he and Bruce help pitch in. While Bruce is there to help rebuild, that's not his main priority.
When Bruce shows up, is he already Batman? If so he could be there digging up clues as to who the mysterious aliens were. He could be spying on Superman/Clark.
Now many people would say 'but Bruce doesn't know Clark is superman'.
While that is true, Bruce is smart and if Lois was able to find out Superman's identity, then Bruce could do it with ease.
I believe at first Bruce won't trust Clark, and even though he and Lex Luthor may be competitors, Lex will try to brain wash him into thinking they are on the same side, at which point is when we'll see Superman fighting Batman. While Bruce doesn't trust Lex either he may think fighting for the greater good is a better option. Lex will then turn on Bruce, and we'll see the famous team up we've all been waiting for.
While I think Lex will be a main villain, I don't know if I see it taking both Superman and Batman to take him out, which leads me to believe we may see another villain team up with him. Maybe someone such as Brainiac?
Another theory I have is if Bruce Wayne is already Batman, did Bruce maybe see Zod's message through his satellite? Maybe that's why he shows up in Metropolis.
That's just one of many theories and, personally, what I think is going to happen in the next film.
